Board of Trustees
An effective charity is run by a clearly identifiable board or trustee body that has the right balance of skills and experience, acts in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries, understands its responsibilities and has systems in place to exercise them properly.

Carol Chapman
Having been introduced to Onside by a member of the management team, I was immediately impressed by the energy and passion of the staff and volunteers. I worked at a senior strategic level in large organisations, both as an employee and as a consultant. It is good to know that my background in organisational, leadership and team development can be helpful to Onside as it continues to grow and manage change. I joined the Board in 2011.

Julia Adams
I worked as a headteacher for 13 years in two Worcestershire schools and took early retirement in order to spend more time with my 90+ mother and my two year old grand-daughter. I wanted to offer my skills to the voluntary sector and quickly found Onside, where I trained as a volunteer advocate.
The work is varied and absorbing; the organisation is one I feel proud to be associated with. It is through the contact I have had with Onside’s users that I have realised just how much positive difference can be made to a person’s quality of life. As a trustee it is my ambition to ensure the continued development of the essential services Onside provides.

Annette Judge
Having worked with vulnerable people over the last 10 years I know how important Onside work is and I am committed to supporting and growing the work of Onside.
The partnerships I have had has given me firsthand experience of the benefits Onside can bring to the less able. In 1996 I volunteered with Riding for the disabled and then worked with Barnardo's from 2001 as a sessional worker taking children with disabilities out, which I still do. I went on to work full time in residential and supported living homes for 6-8 years with adults with Learning Disabilities until I retired.
