Onside is participating in the Great Big Small Charity Car Draw again this year. Charities from all over the UK sell tickets both online and in person to raise funds for their good cause and offer their supporters the chance to win a new car.

Promoted by the FSI (Foundation for Social Improvement) the draw raised £69, 560 for small charities last year and Onside aims to better its sales so that we can generate funds in support of our vital work in the community.

To help us, buy a ticket (£2 each) by visiting www.onside-advocacy.org.uk and click on the link provided. Ticket sales continue until 16 September 2011 with the draw taking place on 25 October 2011.

Good luck!

Christmas Cards

17 December 2010

Once again we had some terrific Christmas card designs submitted for this year's festive greeting card.  We have asked staff and visitors to our open day to vote for their favorites and finally selected three to be printed for sale to friends and family at our Treat and Meet event in December.

AGM & Art Competition 2010

27 October 2010

This year’s AGM was held in the splendid Graeme Hick suite at Worcester County Cricket Ground. As well as the more formal business of presenting the accounts and electing officials we were entertained by guest speakers. Sue Wragge, from the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation, talked about the Foundation, its role and their relationship with the Onside Lifelinks project.  Margaret Fletcher, one of our project users, spoke about how the support she had received from her mentor had enabled her to reengage with her community and develop the confidence to speak to an audience of over 80 people.

Entrants to the annual art competition made an impressive display. Michael Salt, a local artist, judged the art works and prizes were won by Julie Pape for her work, entitled Dare to be Different, Ona Haynes, Masquerade and Phil Bell, Déjà Vu.
