Clients will subsequently be contacted by Onside as appropriate to the service they need from the options below
Peer Support (Dementia Cafés) Service – provides regular opportunities for people living with dementia and their families to meet for peer support, information and social activities (this service is currently on hold during lockdown)
- Dementia Wellbeing Specialists – staff who are skilled and experienced in Young Onset Dementia will work one-to-one with clients and their families to offer tailored support in conjunction with other relevant professionals. A period of active mentoring may also be offered to enable clients to participate safely and companionably in activities they enjoy
Onside’s other dementia services:
- Connected Together - provides opportunities for people living with Young Onset Dementia to enjoy activities with others, as well as for carers to enjoy social time.
- Connected Plus - Our experienced and skilled mentors provide support to enable people living with Young Onset Dementia to enjoy a range of activities and interests. The support is tailored to meet individual needs, choices and circumstances. Mentors work one to one with people with the aim of stimulating and maintaining their skills and interests, enabling them to engage with their local community and develop social networks. There is a charge for this service.
- Connection Point – a place where people living with Young Onset Dementia and their carers can meet with professionals for information and peer support (this service is currently on hold)
