The Lesley McKay Stronger Communities Award 2019
Congratulations Pat Roberts!
This award is aimed at someone who has made an outstanding contribution to sustainable change in their community; someone who has taken the initiative, achieved something positive and made a difference to others.
We are delighted to announce that this year’s award goes to Pat Roberts of Speak Easy NOW. Pat has worked tirelessly for the Worcestershire People’s Parliament using her personal experience to write White Papers, host public debates and speak up for people with learning and other disabilities. This has led to improvements in many areas including housing, transport and health. We are hugely impressed by the contribution that Pat makes and are delighted to be able to shine a light on what she does.
Pat will receive her award at the White Paper launch on the topic of human rights for people with learning disabilities on 8th November.
